Are there unthinkable thoughts ?

One one hand, David Deutsch proved that we can compute everything we want. Humans are universal constructors, in theory.

On the other hand, I think there are less likely default states, given physical brain structure (hardware bias) and current paradigms.

What let's a portfolio of ideas collapse?

Bad explanations like the cloud of mystery that surrounded quantum physics doesn't let us ask some questions, like: "What path did the electron take?"

If all those states are just potentialities, why do they affect outcomes?

Are there unthinkable thoughts ?
